Abarth 500 Roadster has been designed based on the iconic 500 Fiat. It aims for young generations; that’s why the design boasts sporty and modern style. You can read the explanation from the designer below.

The Abarth 500 roadster is a stile exercise of the iconic vehicle 500 Fiat, created by Madeindreams Studio with their team of automotive designers along with some students of the Transportation and Automobile Design Master Course of Politecnico di Milano directed by prof. Fausto Brevi.

Madeindreams Studio created the Alias Automotive Training Centre to fill the gap between University and Design Center of major automotive brands. It is addressed to youth and recent graduates for the professional training in the automotive field.

The goal of the Abarth 500 roadster project was to give a complete experience of the design process to the students making the internship at Madeindreams Studio, in which they learn how to build a virtual model of a car in team with senior designers and under the supervision of our Training Center director, Ginevra Gatto.

This is one fabulous looking concept car, that I must say. Every once in a while a concept comes along that is not only fabulous in its plan, but fabulous in its rendering as well. Take a look at the realism in these digital illustrations and tell me you aren’t impressed by their excellence. Then lemme tell you about this car. It’s called the Astrum Meera, and it features several elements which play a role in safety, sustainability, and what the creators call “practical design.” 

This electric car design came from Duncan Campbell submission. Duncan has come up with a future car design that he said he wanted to create futuristic look and at the same time answering our future need of compact and eco friendly vehicle. This concept car features 4 small electric motors attached directly to each wheel to avoid all heavy transmission stuff. It’s been designed to enable passengers better range of view of the road. The side view design was inspired by the eye shape as you can see the similarity in the first picture. Pretty cool but it looks more like a simple future car than futuristic.

This concept car named as “Just” is designed by Altran group and they have tried to generate innovations in the field of automotive. It is a wide car with exotic looks and amazing curves. Just is extremely spacious from inside for a family of four members and would be surely suitable for long drives. Vehicle is designed in a way to adapt and personalize their vehicle to the extreme while integrating environmental and regulatory requirements. Altran have made the best use of multi positioning group for offering complete comfort and relaxation.

You must have seen cars changing colors but check out EVE which is a unique concept that imbibes the feature of reflecting lights as per the mood with a very classy quality. Boasting of a very perceptive interface that senses the driver’s mood, the car has the ability to change the color of its panels. The panels are made up of a mix of polymers and other materials that react to the flow of the electricity created by the friction of tires. It is an eco-friendly car concept for 3 passengers that uses electricity for its power and also harnesses solar energy with the help of its coated windshield.

This can be one of the most incredible cars you might have seen recently. Venturi Volage is a fully electric roadster that boasts 295 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. Volage is indeed a head-turner with plenty of unbelievable features such as Active Wheel Technology that empowers each wheel with a significant amount of additional control over the vehicle. This concept is planned for 2012 but because of the impressive looks who doesn’t want to be the driver and master of this unleashed man made wonder. To sum up, Venturi Volage is a wonderfully crafted speed car concept that definitely deserves success and fame.

If Batman is proud to be a owner of a car that can split into becoming a motorbike, you can also have the same self-righteous through Lightweight concept, a lightweight futuristic car that features the ability of transforming the rear wheels into two segway bikes, which is higher than the number of bikes Batman’s car can be. The key point of the car, being lightweight, has been achieved by comprising two parallel side panels and a combination of several cross panels. The cutting-edge design of the car is no less exciting at all than that of Batman, to some extent; it will be more alluring and acceptable to the users with its unique and realistic form. To sustain on the future condition when fuel would be a vital lacking, this concept car has been designed with maximum energy efficiency.

The new vehicle design by Christian Susana is a nice combination of car and a caravan camper. Christian has called it Colim (Colors of Life in Motion), which might not win many points on looks department, but still is quite useful given the kind of flexibility it offers. Colim provides the advantage of detaching the front part if one does not have a usage for the home part. Design wise it reminds more of geometric shape, which one can say to be a welcome change from the regular designs, but the designer has really explored a possibility using different shapes which may pave way for better shaped cars.

Renault is a leading car manufacturing company of France and is known for their unique and futuristic designs. Their latest car, Megane Coupe is really a masterpiece. The design of the car is compatible with aerodynamics. It’s a four-sitter car with sliding doors that reach upwards. The interior of the car is equipped with digital simulation technology. The gear system is semiautomatic and it also has adjustable steering wheel mounted on paddle shift. The suspension is superb with adjustable dampers. The tires of this car are from the renowned Michellin tires making the car to run on any surfaces. This car also has roof mounted air ducts.

The main attraction of the Geneva Motor Show would be the iPhone controlled, wild shape-shifting electric concept car by the Swiss auto tuner Rinspeed. This car can change its shape according to the number of passengers with a simple touch to an iPhone application. The streamlined one-seater rear end is able to form space for two more people if requirement arises. By maximizing aerodynamics, the adjustable rear end preserves energy. According to Frank Rinderknecht, the founder of the company, the idea is to create smooth, lightweight and efficient individual mobility that is able to understand the driver’s requirement.

The Solar Car designed by Koenigsegg is being compared with an Electric Batmobile. Koenigsegg is a high-end car maker of Sweden and have just made the demonstration of their electric solar car NLV Quant in Geneva. This car is able to go 0-62 mph in just 5.2 seconds with 512hp. It takes only 20 minutes to charge full however, not all through solar. It’s true that electric sports cars are not being manufactured by Koenigsegg for the first time, but they are the one who are using solar panels for the first time onto it. Koenigsegg is delivering sports cars for decades and this solar car is one of their most superior creations.

Angel is a concept car inspired by the fairy angels at a minimal and very pure design manner. Peugeot Angel is specially designed for city use that will give the users an unbelievable driving experience. This concept car has a futuristic look with a little bit of retro charm. All the front wheels have a standard car like look but the rear wheels are functioning on idea of circulation of opposite magnetic fields and this movement actually develops magnetic field that aloes this superb car to be levitated in its back. With this process the Angel car is lighter than traditional cars and requires less power to perform smooth drive.
