Inspired by nature, Romanian designer Diana Dumitrescu has come up with an innovative speaker that connects to portable systems to amplify their sound. Called the “USB Speaker,” the compact device is composed of several segments of aluminum connected by a rubber ring. When not in use, the speaker remains closed, but as soon as you connect it to a laptop, it blooms like a flower to let you enjoy surround sound on the go. Moreover, the USB Speaker incorporates a microphone for optional use that pops up when you connect the device to your portable system.
