Microsoft officially relaunches the Kin One and Kin Two

After being called one of Microsoft’s greatest failures and having been pulled from sale after only six weeks during its original run, the Kin One and Kin Two are now back on sale with Verizon. This re-release gives them a name change to the Kin ONEm and Kin TWOm. Originally Microsoft only sold 8,810 units, but they hope to turn those sales numbers around with better pricing plans.

Microsoft Lync Jabra Touchscreen Headsets

Microsoft’s Lync aspires to be the ‘next generation of unified communications’, and its first week of existence has already gotten fix new touchscreen headsets designed for it by Jabra.

All six belong to either the Jabra Pro 9400 or Jabra Go 6400 series, and come with pretty much the same base unit design, but have headsets varying in size. They range from full featured and full size headphones, to a Bluetooth headset that fits your phone as well as the base unit.

Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Confirmed

Remember Microsoft’s Magic Mouse competitor we talked about back in July? Well, it looks like the Arc Touch Mouse is real. Images have leaked from a German online store that show the mouse, with some specs too. The main draw here is the curved design, which provides more ergonomic comfort, and the mouse also folds down for portability. Other features include touch-scrolling, multi-surface tracking, a battery indicator, and 2.4GHz nano receiver. superstechnology The price, roughly translated, is $69.95, but availability for America is currently unknown.

Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Will Play Xbox LIVE Arcade Games

It feels like it’s been forever since Microsoft announced Windows Phone 7. And, despite the fact the details came afterward, it almost feels longer since we actually heard any details about one of the future mobile Operating System’s coolest features: Xbox LIVE support. We know it goes beyond just having your Xbox LIVE profile/avatar, and we know the XNA framework will make it easy for developers to integrate features from the console to the handset, but apparently Microsoft is going for the throat on this one.

Windows Phone 7 Office functionality gets new video demo

  Windows Mobile always felt like a business smartphone platform with – later on, at least – consumer-focused extras bolted on.  When Microsoft announced Windows Phone 7 earlier this year, however, the new smartphone OS felt like a consumer platform with a few vague nods to business use.  Now, thanks to the latest WP7 emulator build, we’ve got a better idea of how Office Hub functionality will work on the upcoming handsets.

Microsoft outs three new 720p webcams

Microsoft has just added three new webcams to its LifeCam line, and all three are capable of 720p HD video. The LifeCam HD-5000 and HD-5001 look different on the outside, but inside they are the same and both sell for $49.95 and are available later this month.

Microsoft’s new SideWinder X4 Gaming Keyboard

Microsoft has a new member in its SideWinder family in the SideWinder X4. The keyboard, in fact the entire “X-series”, is designed for gamers. One of the most interesting features of the X4 is the anti-ghosting feature, which allows gamers to press up to 26 keys at once.

 Microsoft’s Arc seems to be an exception to the rule. The ARC is a wireless keyboard designed with both function and style in mind, the overall size of the unit is just 12×6 inches but in no way means it isnt a feature rich device.

SilverPac SilverFrame with touchscreen, WiFi-n, SideShow and media streaming

SilverPac have announced [pdf link] their SilverFrame Advanced Digital Picture Frame (ADPF) at Computex 2009, and as the name might suggest this is miles apart from the cheap photo display you can find in Best Buy bargain bins.  The ADPF runs Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 and supports Windows SideShow and Windows Live FrameIt for displaying online content on its 10.1-inch 1024 x 576 touchscreen.

Amazon slip reveals Microsoft’s Blue Track mini-mouse technology

After running a brief teaser animation through its official Web site that ends with the tantalising tagline “Say Goodbye to Laser,” it would appear that Microsoft’s upcoming laser-replacing revelation is in no-way related to optical discs but actually a brand new computer mouse. Squeak!

The connection was made earlier this week when diligent Engadget readers uncovered pre-release product pages for a new “MS Explorer Mini Mouse with Blue Track technology” on Amazon.de and the YouGame online store. Haloed in a blue glow, pictures of the mouse reveal it to be emblazoned with the same logo offered up at the end of Microsoft’s short animation clip.

Microsoft Surface: a touch screen table

Microsoft has announced the public release of it's new Surface computer - essentially a table-based touchscreen.

The $10,000 table is initially going to be aimed at retailers, casinos and business, but eventually I would imagine the price will drop and they'll try and push the technology for home use - we've seen Bill Gates use this technology on stage at various conferences, and on a recent visit to Microsoft HQ in Redmond, I saw this deployed in the company's "digital home". More jargon here.

Looks kind of nifty - and another boost for touch-based computing.
